Business & Technology Analyst
We are searching for a bright and collaborative Business and Technology Analyst who can work with internal business partners and external customers to create documents with clear business and technology requirements, update existing business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, and detailed design documents for all systems and applications. A passion for working with people to explore the finer details of requirements is a must. You will play a vital role in documenting the attributes of a solution, boundaries of requirements and clarifying assumptions in the Customer ‘Asks’.
Our team focuses on internal and external customers, therefore experience of working through differing priorities to build solutions using both software and hardware is a bonus. A personality that can turn tough conversations into a positive resolution is also important to this role. As we harvest the power of Azure Cloud, it is critical to underpin the analysis on the benefits of being on the cloud and the risks that are on the journey. Finally, our team is our best asset so collaboration, coaching and mentoring regarding the thought process will be important part of our growth.
Technologies you’ll be exposed to
We play in .NET, connected devices, RFID and other IoT sensors, database (SQL Server/SQLite/Oracle/PostgreSQL, mobile applications, web, edge computing, cloud computing and integration into the enterprise software (SAP/Oracle/RedPrairie/etc.) space. We embrace movements into the cloud and harvesting the power of the cloud to better serve our customers and their operations. We partner with Microsoft, Alien, Zebra and Intermec to build the IoT ecosystem. We also partner with development and test organizations locally and globally to develop and deploy solutions.
A successful Business and Technology Analyst serves as a creative thinker in translating “wants” into detailed Stories in JIRA. You will need to be an awesome multi-tasker to ensure that our program office activities are successfully documented. Working collaboratively with our software development team, solution development team, customers and product owners you will be responsible for the following:
Work with Program Office Bid Development team to translate business issues into clear work packages
Work with Program Office Project Managers to ensure projects are implemented successfully
Facilitate, lead, and manage requirement gathering sessions, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis to produce required documentation
Produce clear, detailed design documentation (non-technical) to be used by technical developers to build appropriate solutions. Development of a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) linking requirements to design and test scenarios
Utilize JIRA to create Epics, Stories and Tasks from the requirement refining sessions
Ensure the backlog is well refined for Sprint Teams to help them to be as productive as they possible can be
Identify and document issues, risks, and opportunities related to requirements
Participate in short and long-term planning sessions with clients and/or stakeholders to improve business processes
