Edge Process Manager
The Edge Process Manager interprets Edge events in a business context, providing the critical link between edge devices and business applications.
For example, an RFID reader may detect an item exiting through a dock door. If a shipment of that item is in process through that door, then the Edge Process Manager would note the shipment of the item. If a shipment is not in process then the Edge Process Manager could raise a theft warning.
Event Workflows
Edge Process Management logic is implemented as event workflows – sequences of business logic that interpret the events generated by the Edge Device Manager. Event workflows interpret those events in a business context, turning device events into business events that are actionable.
Process Management
Edge processes must be managed; that is, they must be deployed, configured, monitored, and controlled. iMotion provides comprehensive management of event workflow deployment and execution, on a single machine or across a distributed network.
Distributed & Scalable
The Edge Process Manager is designed to be replicated and distributed across a network. This provides scalability of solutions and enables optimization of network resources.
