Support
The Edge Device Manager supports a vast array of edge devices such as; fixed and handheld readers, printers, motion detectors, light and temperature sensors, LED displays, voice recordings etc, and provides comprehensive support for RFID devices and other devices, such as barcode scanners, light stacks, photo eyes and handheld computers, that populate the Edge. Each device is supported with a small, plug-in module that connects the specific device to the Edge Device Manager. All of these devices can be dynamically configured, operated, monitored, and any faults recovered, to ensure maximum access to Edge information.
Distributed & Scalable
The Edge Device Manager is designed to be distributed and replicated across multiple systems in a network while providing a single view of the Edge for both business applications and system management. This provides flexibility in deployment and scalability for growth without increasing complexity and operating costs.
