- RFID Tagging: RFID tagging is required for all DoD manufacturers and suppliers who have new contracts subject to the DFARS 252.211-7006 contract clause or existing contracts that are amended and include the clause.
- Electronic Data Exchange: For all RFID tagged shipments, a Receiving Report or Advanced Ship Notice (ASN) must be submitted through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF).
- Advanced Shipping Notice / Receiving Transaction: Lists the contents of a shipment of goods and any information relating to the shipment. As part of the mandate, suppliers are required to submit standard ASN (856) transactions to WAWF.
